Kids' Eye Games

A playful 9-minute set of eye games for children, done with a parent nearby.

  • 9 min
  • 6 exercises
  1. Bouncing ball 60 s
  2. Heart shape 60 s
  3. Butterfly 60 s
  4. Quick look 60 s
  5. Blinking exercise 60 s
  6. Palming 120 s

This 9-minute set turns eye movement exercises into games for children. Kids follow a bouncing ball, trace a heart and a star with their eyes, try to tap targets in the quick-look game, and finish with blinking and a calm relaxation. The colourful shapes and short segments keep attention without overloading.

The set is meant for school-age children and should be done with a parent or teacher nearby, who can make sure the child keeps a sensible distance from the screen, sits comfortably and stops if anything feels unpleasant. It works well as a playful break from homework or tablet time, once a day or a few times a week.

Please note what the set can and cannot do. It offers a break from close work and practises attention and eye coordination in a fun way, but it does not correct short-sightedness or treat a lazy eye or squint. What protects children's eyes most is plenty of time outdoors, which is linked to a lower risk of developing myopia, sensible screen time and regular eye checks. Frequently asked questions

From what age is the kids' set suitable?

It is designed for school-age children who can follow simple instructions. Younger children can join in with an adult, but screen time for small children should be limited.

Can it help my child's lazy eye or squint?

No. Amblyopia and strabismus need diagnosis and treatment by an eye specialist, such as glasses or patching. Ask your eye doctor before using any exercises.

Does it prevent myopia?

There is no evidence that eye exercises prevent myopia. Time outdoors in daylight is the best-supported protective habit for children.

What should I watch for?

Stop if your child complains of headache, dizziness or double vision, rubs their eyes a lot or squints, and arrange an eye examination.
